One great thing I like in HK is how I can browse different sites freely, no VPN is needed. Can still manage to access Facebook and Twitter in China with the VPN on, but YouTube is just not usable with those speed.
IT
Network was down
Was not able to access the internet for a couple of hours. We all are so attached to the net now. When it is down, seems like there is nothing you can do.
Twitter, Facebook, and Weibo share buttons
Played around with the plugin and got it done. Much resources available online, just need to spend the time to digest them and try out. Done with another task on the list.
Google access issues
Getting tougher and tougher to access Google services. Besides the Google main site, have very slow access to Gmail as well. VPN is like a must now.
Domain name & Web hosting
It takes a lot more time and effort to work on a website project in China. Have done numbers of site and love to deal with the US providers where everything is quick and easy. Need to spend at least 10 times more effort to work on the same tasks in China. Another great learning experience, I guess.
App support
Big thank to @nielspeen again for saving my ass. It was a minute job which worried me the whole night. Once again, we need to have the right resources to do the right things. For the ones who have less knowledge and experience, better work hard and learn them fast.
lambilly.com is back online
Big thank to @nielspeen, he saved me. I was so stupid to delete the site platform a few days ago and the whole site went down. I thought I was going to lose everything and needed to restart the site again from ground zero. With my buddy help, and everything is back to normal. However, still need to monitor the performance and see whether some strange things will happen.
Router setpup
Spent much time last night to setup the routers and they seem to be working now. Will monitor the next two days and see how stable they are.
